Securities Expert Witness - The CFA Designation |
What is the CFA designation?
The CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation is the highest professional designation available to investment professionals involved in investment research, securities analysis, portfolio management, and other parts of the investments industry. The designation is awarded by the international CFA Institute to individuals who have successfully completed rigorous testing, demonstrated years of professional practice in the field, and promised to adhere to a strict and comprehensive Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Practice. First created in the 1960s, the Code and Standards are the ethical benchmark for investment professionals around the globe, regardless of job title, cultural differences, or local laws.
Bill was awarded the CFA designation in 1989 and has maintained it in good standing since that time. He is on the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of Milwaukee, is the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Practice Liaison to the CFA Institute, and is on the CFA Institute's Ethics Task Force.
